If You Have Been Avoiding the Dentist
Some of our best long-term patients started with a phone call that took them three weeks to make.
We know why you have been putting it off
For most people it traces to one specific thing: a painful appointment as a child, a dentist who was dismissive, a bad experience with anesthetic that did not work. Tell us which one it is and we will plan around it.
Sedation, at whatever level you need
Nitrous oxide takes the edge off and wears off before you drive home. Oral sedation leaves most of the appointment hazy. IV sedation is available for longer work. Our doctors are members of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
You can stop at any point
Agree a signal at the start. Raise your hand and everything stops. That is not a courtesy, it is how the appointment runs.
No commentary about the state of your teeth
We see everything. It is not interesting to us and it is not a moral matter. The only thing we care about is the plan forward.
Fewer appointments if you want
Sedation lets us combine treatment that would otherwise take four visits. For a lot of anxious patients, one hard day beats four dreaded ones.
Start with a conversation, not a chair
You are welcome to come in, sit in an office, and talk it through with nothing happening. Plenty of people start that way.

Questions we get asked
Can I come in and just talk first?
Yes. Plenty of people start by sitting in an office with nothing happening, and that is a perfectly normal first appointment.
What sedation options do you offer?
Nitrous oxide, oral sedation and IV sedation. Our doctors are members of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Will I be judged for the state of my teeth?
No. We see everything and it is not interesting to us as a moral matter. The only thing that matters is the plan forward.
Can I have sedation just for a cleaning?
Yes. Nitrous for a hygiene visit is common and there is nothing unusual about asking.
What if the anesthetic has not worked for me before?
Tell us at the start. There are several reasons that happens and most of them have a solution. It is a common story and not a dead end.
Ready when you are
Nobody here is going to make you feel bad about it.
A large share of our new patients start the conversation by apologizing for how long it has been. It is the most ordinary thing we hear.
